Next year we celebrate 15 years of msg Apuseni Marathon, so we invite you to choose either a technical race — ultramarathon, marathon or half marathon to earn ITRA points — or a popular race, such as the cross-country or family run, and join us for sports in nature, beautiful landscapes, and an authentic experience. Together with our technical partner — La Sportiva — we are waiting for you with a fresh website, lots of novelties and the ever spectacular trails of the Apuseni Mountains – the Western Carpathians!

Start the summer with us on June 6, 2026, in a mountain beat and surrounded by friends! msg Apuseni Marathon 2026 prepares an unforgettable edition for you, full of desire to run, hunger for new records, and the enthusiasm of discovering the beauty of mountain running. Here is a short overview of the races:
- Ultramarathon of 65–70 km, a UTMB Series qualifying race, with an early-morning start and worth 3 ITRA points. Sign up here.
- msg Marathon of 44.8 km, with +2531 m elevation gain, passing through picturesque landscapes and remote hamlets! A well-established race, also part of the UTMB Series qualifying events, offering 2 ITRA points. Sign up here.
- Banca Transilvania Half Marathon of 23.7 km with +1190 m elevation gain — a technical UTMB Series qualifying race earning 1 ITRA point, perfect for discovering the joy of mountain running. Sign up here.
- Garmin Cross-Country Run, 10 km with +500 m elevation gain, designed for beginners in mountain running and outdoor activities. Sign up here.

And because you loved it, we’re bringing back the challenge between Stăuina Runcanilor and Pietrele Mărunte Peak: a 3.1 km route with 430 m elevation gain where the King and Queen of the Mountain 2026 titles will be contested!
