This is excellent news for the entire trail running community in Romania, as for the first time in the history of the Apuseni competition, cash prizes will also be awarded for the age categories in the msg marathon and Banca Transilvania half-marathon events. On this occasion, the 2026 edition is also introducing a new 60+ competitive category, a natural sign of the maturation and development of Romania’s mountain running community!
Through this partnership, Banca Transilvania once again reaffirms its active commitment to supporting sports, a healthy lifestyle, and events that foster strong communities centered around physical activity and nature. Over the years, the Banca Transilvania Half Marathon has become one of the most popular races in the competition, offering runners an authentic “In the Rhythm of the Mountain” experience.
The 15th anniversary edition of the Apuseni Marathon will bring together thousands of runners from Romania and abroad in the Apuseni Mountains, in an event that combines athletic performance, community spirit, and respect for nature.
