The trail running community in Cluj and beyond is invited to a new session of Trail Running Talks, an event dedicated to those who want to gain a deeper understanding of what performance in trail running truly means—beyond just kilometers and elevation gain.
Organized by the .msg Maraton Apuseni team, the event features a live, interactive format where runners, coaches, and experts will openly discuss motivation, pushing one’s limits, and mental strength during a race.
The event will take place on April 16, 2026, at 6:00 PM, at the Garmin Cluj headquarters.

Guests with Real-Running Experience
This edition features guests who know the challenges of trail running from the inside out—from the first steps to peak performance.
- Adriana Ploșniță – Ultratrail runner and coach, she will speak about the role of motivation in a runner’s life: how to find the courage to step out of your comfort zone and how to turn the desire to surpass yourself into a constant driving force.
- Bogdan Ibănescu – A true example of progress, Bogdan will share his journey—from amateur runner to competitor—and how chance can be transformed into performance through discipline and perseverance.
- Viviana Obădău – A psychologist specializing in positive psychotherapy and CBT, she will provide the mental perspective: how mindfulness works in running and how to overcome the negative patterns that arise during a race.
- Zsolt Kovács – Coach for the Ultrafitness Performance project powered by Spectro.Life, will explain “the science behind victory,” drawing from his experience in the 2025 ultramarathon.
The evening’s moderator will be, as usual, Răzvan Samoilă, who will guide the discussion and bring to the forefront topics relevant to the community.
More Than just a Gathering
Trail Running Talks is not a formal event, but an open gathering of people who share the same passion. It is a place where real questions receive honest answers, and race experiences become lessons for the next challenge.
From daily motivation to performance strategies and mental control, the discussions will provide participants with concrete tools they can apply both in training and in competitions.
For those preparing for the 15th anniversary edition of the Apuseni Marathon or simply wanting to better understand this sport, the April 16 event is an opportunity to learn directly from those who live the “rhythm of the mountains” every day.
Registration is closed. All spots have been filled.
