The NO LIMITS race is a life lesson! A unique team race where determination knows no bounds. Four mixed teams, each consisting of one athlete with a disability using an adapted bike and two runners, will tackle the course together in a challenge based on strength, team spirit, and shared ambition.

Description
In 2025, the Apuseni Marathon welcomed its first competitor with a physical disability to the starting line: the courageous Alex Tache completed a 10-km course on a specially adapted bicycle, donated by .msg Romania, which allowed him to tackle all the ravines, boulders, and his own limits. The applause at the finish was more than well-deserved and sent a clear message: our mountain and our marathon must belong to everyone.
In 2026, we’re expanding the challenge and launching the No Limits competition. Four people with disabilities on adapted bicycles will compete in a mixed team. Together, they must find solutions, adapt to the route, and achieve the best time. Team spirit is essential because the route presents many obstacles, but we have already proven that they can be overcome. This is a real competition, not a stroll!
Start from Şesu Cald on the route marked specifically for NO LIMITS, heading toward Valea Vadului. After approximately 4.4 km, leave this road to reach PH Stăuina Runcani, located at km 4.7.
Warning: a challenging climb lies ahead—bring plenty of water and arm yourself with patience! Next comes a trail winding through the forest, passing the landmark we’ve marked on the map as Mijloc Pădure.
Until PC Pietrele Mărunte at km 7.9, it’s nothing but uphill! Once you’ve crossed the forest, from the junipers it’s not far to PC Pietrele Mărunte, where the descent begins. You can see Buscat from above.
From Colţul Rotund, head right and follow the forest road for the last kilometer.
